Tetrahydrophthalic anhydride is a white flaky solid, used as a raw material intermediate in organic synthesis, generally used to produce alkyd resins and unsaturated polyester resins, coatings, also used as a curing agent for epoxy resins, but also used in pesticides, sulfur regulators, plasticizers and surfactants, etc.
Tetrahydrophthalic anhydride is soluble in general organic solvents and slightly soluble in petroleum ether. It is a white flaky solid. Its melting point is 100℃ and flash point is 156℃.
